PEHAL 2011

 Working Model Competition.

Have you ever thought of life without electricity, or without a vehicle. Sounds funny, but don't you realize that all these basic necessities of today, have costed us our very existence on earth.

We all know the dangers to environment these necessities of today have created. Now as nature hits back, we realize our folly, and also question: "Was all this really required?"

Is Alternative Energy a subject of future, or a revival of the past? Why are we talking today about hand wound tools that do not require electricity? Didn't they exist in the past, that we comfortably forgot as outdated technology?

The theme of this competition is "Traditional Solutions For Modern Day Problems".

So all young engineers, scientists, professionals, scratch your head, ask your granny/grandpa, dig into history, and bring back a model of the past, that can solve a problem that new technology has created for us.

You don't need to invent or innovate, you just need to demonstrate, how old technology can replace the new, so that we have a greener and livable future.

Your imagination can show the way to the future.
