PEHAL 2011

Ever dreamt of being a Radio jockey?
The revival of radio has caught the fancy of the youth in all parts of the country. While carrying a transistor on a bicycle was considered outdated, carrying a blaring cellphone radio on a bike is considered hep.

The radio has always been considered the best broadcasting medium for creating awareness. The advent of Community Radio has taken this further, helping local content creation and adaptation for local dissemination.

A Radio Jockey's work is a technical craft combined with the art of storytelling using words and expressions.

This year PEHAL 2011 has brought you a golden opportunity in the form of AHAVAAN – The Art of delivering a social message through community radio.

This competition challenges the participants to create awareness about a social issue/solution or deliver a social message acting as a Radio jockey on a mock studio set.
